A big Thanksgiving meal is the perfect setting for bonding with your family members. Though cooking and entertaining may be stressful, it is definitely worth the work. Today we will take a look and some simple and delicious side dish recipes to help you navigate your way through Thanksgiving dinner.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Macaroni and Cheese.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort food. It is warm, gooey, and cheesy, meaning your family is sure to love it. It can even be made in under 20 minutes on a stovetop. This makes for a great side dish because it will not take up any oven room.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 16 oz box of Macaroni noodles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4 tbsp unsalted Butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4 Cloves of minced garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 tbsp flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups whole milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups sharp cheddar cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salt and pepper to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Instructions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Add noodles to boiling water. Cook for suggested time. Drain Noodles and set aside. Add butter and garlic to a pan on low\/medium heat. Constantly stir for one minute to avoid burning. Add flour and stir for an additional minute. Slowly add milk and stir. Leave mixture on low\/medium heat and bring to a simmer. While waiting, add your salt and pepper, along with any other seasonings that you want to add. Finally, add the cheese and stir. They are extremely easy to make because they only require and handful of ingredients. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 32 oz bag baby carrots<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 tbsp unsalted butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 tbsp brown sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 tbsp honey<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salt to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Instructions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Rinse and dry baby carrots, set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add carrots and stir to coat in butter. Add honey and sugar and continue to stir. Lower to low\/medium heat and cook for ten to fifteen minutes or until carrots are tender, stir mixture often to avoid burning. It is a classic staple that is always welcomed at a Thanksgiving dinner table. Try this casserole to take your mashed potatoes to the next level.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Ingredients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5 lbs golden potatoes peeled and cubed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup unsalted butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 oz cream cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup sour cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups sharp cheddar cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6 slices of cooked bacon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4 green onions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Instructions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cook six slices of bacon on the stovetop or in the oven. When cooked all the way through, let cool and cop in to bits. Set aside. Chop green onions into thin slices and set aside. Cut cream cheese into cubes and set aside. Place peeled and chopped potatoes in large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for twenty minutes. Drain potatoes and return to pot. Mash with a potato masher. Add butter and cubed cream cheese, mix until completly melted. Stir in the sour cream, 1 \u00bd cups of sharp cheddar cheese, \u00bd chopped bacon bits, and half of the green onion. Season with salt and pepper along with any other seasonings that you wish to add. Transfer to a 9 x 13 baking dish. Top with remaining cheese, bacon, and onion. Bake for fifteen minutes.
