Get your sweatpants ready, because Thanksgiving is just around the corner. If you’re not\u00a0already salivating thinking about the\u00a0stuffing, turkey and mashed potato dinner that awaits, then allow me help. I’ve got an awesome green bean and bacon<\/em> recipe that I’m sharing below. Seriously, it’s epic.<\/p>\n

And besides being thankful for all the tastiness that the holiday offers (like copious\u00a0amounts of pumpkin spice everything) I’ll also be sharing some things I’m personally thankful for.<\/p>\n

Let’s get this party started!<\/p>\n

Delish Bacon & Green Bean Recipe<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A twist to the usual (and boring) green bean salad, this warm dish is something that I’d be stoked to incorporate into dinner\u00a0more than just once a year.<\/p>\n

What You Need:<\/strong>
\n1 1\/4 pounds green beans, trimmed and chopped into 1-inch pieces
\n2 slices bacon, chopped
\n1 small onion, minced
\n2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
\n2 teaspoons sugar<\/p>\n

How to Cook:<\/strong>
\n1) Bring\u00a01 inch of water in a pan to a simmer. Add green beans, cover, and cook for 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.<\/p>\n

2) Return skillet to stove and set burner to medium high. Add bacon and brown. When fat begins to render, add chopped onions to the pan and cook until tender with the bacon.<\/p>\n

3) Add cooked green beans to the pan and turn to coat in bacon drippings and onions. When the beans are hot and bacon crisp at edges and onions translucent add vinegar to the pan and season with beans with sugar. Allow the vinegar to evaporate and the sugar to combine with pan drippings, 1 to 2 minutes, then serve.<\/p>\n

Thankful for Family<\/h3>\n

Well, this one is a given. But beyond the gratitude I have for my family, I’d like to take this opportunity to boast\u00a0for just one moment\u00a0specifically about my daughter. She’s been working really hard in college and excelling in her studies. I’m so proud of her aspirations and can’t wait to see where her education and dedication takes her!<\/p>\n

Thankful for\u00a0Everyone at Streamline<\/h3>\n

I’m very thankful to have such a successful business. I started working for my uncle in 1992 and then shortly after, opened\u00a0Streamline\u00a0<\/a><\/em>Construction<\/a><\/em>. From humble beginnings, it has grown\u00a0tremendously over the years.<\/p>\n

I think one reason why we are so successful is because of the amazing staff. Their loyalty and hard work does not go unnoticed! I want to personally thank each and every one of you for all you do.<\/p>\n

Thankful for\u00a0Naps<\/h3>\n
